With tourism growing throughout South-East Asia, the Philippines aims to be Asia’s top tropical destination.
A tourism industry executive said the Philippines could become the top tropical destination in Asia by marketing the country through Cebu, which already enjoys a flourishing tourism industry.
Cebu is considered to be the “vortex” of Philippine tourism and luring more foreign tourists through the province will not be difficult given its positive reputation in the international market.
Cebu is indeed a world class destination, a tourism magnet with continued growth in tourism-related development. The entry of international hotel operators, the increase in the volume of foreign visitors and additional flights to and from Cebu proves that interest among travellers and businessmen in Cebu is growing.
