| American Cruise
Lines, with offices in Haddam, Connecticut, offers passengers the cruising comfort of a luxury yacht with the service, shipboard activities and daily ports of call that can only be provided by these small ships. All cruise itineraries are planned to offer the most interesting ports of call along the placid waters of the beautiful eastern inland waterways. Local historians and entertainers regale passengers with stories and music to enrich each shore visit. Our search for great sites of American History brings passengers to shores and waterways once traveled by Indians and explorers, pirates and soldiers of by gone days. Our voyagers will visit quaint New England whaling towns, like New Bedford and Nantucket Island, and continue to beautiful and historical ports as Belhaven, NC, St. Simons Island, GA, Beaufort, SC, and Port Mayaca, FL. Following the course of early settlers, we travel through dramatic New York harbor and up the majestic Hudson river visiting the grand homes of American Industrialists, legendary Sleepy Hollow and the historical and modern city of Albany, NY.
American Cruise Lines continues its search to the Chesapeake Bay, the cradle of American History, which can only be fully appreciated from the water. Our small ships tie up at the docks of some of America’s oldest towns and cities, such as St. Michaels, Crisfield and Annapolis, Maryland, providing up-close and personal walks along beautiful roads lined with historic homes and buildings. While in Yorktown, American Cruise Lines offers excursions to the fabled Colonial Williamsburg. A journey down the Intracoastal Waterway to Jacksonville, Florida, offers a unique look through magnificent wildlife sanctuaries, the “Golden Isles” of South Carolina, including the famous island of Hilton Head, and Georgia’s magnificent Sea Islands.
Newly constructed by Chesapeake Shipbuilding in Salisbury, Maryland, each ship provides the largest staterooms afloat in this class of cruise ships. Many of the 31 staterooms have private verandahs; all have large, opening picture windows and private baths. Beautifully appointed, with glass-enclosed lounges, many observation decks, an elevator and fully climate controlled, American Cruise Lines provides the perfect environment for shipboard life. Fine cuisine featuring fresh ingredients and local specialties enhance each meal in the beautifully decorated dining room.
Each cruise is dedicated to passenger service, convenience and comfort. Voyaging through America’s historic waterways aboard American Cruise Lines is a voyage of discovery.
